The "pass rate" is a summary metric that, within funded cycles, provides you with a technical reading of the overall outcome of the observed cycles. It is a number that must be understood: taken alone, without context, it risks being misunderstood.
Cos'è il pass rate
The pass rate expresses, in percentage form, the ratio between a number of cycles with an outcome considered positive and the total number of cycles observed within the perimeter selected by the dashboard. It is not a prediction: it describes what has already happened, within the calculation parameters defined by the platform.
Come leggere il valore
The percentage has statistical value: the more cycles enter the calculation perimeter, the more the value stabilizes. In short windows, the number can fluctuate naturally; in wider windows, the trend can be read more clearly. The dashboard typically reports the pass rate with reference to the period shown.
The past pass rate is not a promise of the future pass rate. Arbicsx provides technological software pursuant to D.Lgs. 58/1998 (TUF); no returns are guaranteed and capital is at risk.
Cosa non è il pass rate
The pass rate is not:
- a goal to be artificially manipulated;
- a prediction of success for subsequent cycles;
- a measure to be presented as a guarantee in communications to third parties;
- a metric to be compared between users without taking setups into account.
Perché la metrica è utile
The pass rate serves to provide a compact reading of the history of cycles after they have occurred. It helps you answer a broad question: "how did my cycles perform during the observed period?". It should always be integrated with the reading of:
- capital health (in-depth study);
- overage netto over the period (in-depth study);
- history of funded cycles (in-depth study).
Come parlarne all'esterno
If you communicate the pass rate — for example, in a network or educational context — always be clear about its meaning: it is a technical reading, referring to an observed period, and does not predict the future. The communication rules described in Compliance, security and responsible communication help maintain the correct tone.
Prospettiva statistica
The pass rate has statistical significance only if observed over an adequate base of cycles. In a handful of cycles, a single event shifts the percentage significantly; as cycles accumulate, the value stabilizes. This behavior is not a flaw: it is how percentages work when the base is small.
For this reason, a pass rate observed at the beginning should not be compared with one observed after many cycles as if they were equivalent. They are homonymous quantities, but with different informative density.
Regole minime
- Also look at the size of the base, not just the percentage.
- Do not extend the reading to the future.
- Always re-contextualize in communication.
