How to evaluate results over time

Correct metrics and time horizons for an objective evaluation of your progress.

Updated 16/07/2026 · 2 min read

Evaluating results over time is a silent art: it requires patience, clear criteria, and the ability not to be misled by individual days. It is very different from measuring results moment by moment.

Here we see how to build a meaningful reading of results, in line with the long-term vision that forms the basis of the Arbicsx method.

Defining the horizon

Before measuring, decide on which horizon you want to do it. A month is not enough, a week even less. Complete operating cycles are the minimum framework for useful evaluations.

  • Minimum horizon compatible with the method
  • Number of cycles sufficient to dampen noise
  • Consistent market context for comparison

A result read over the very short term is almost always noise. The signal emerges only with the accumulation of data.

What to measure (qualitatively)

Observe the stability of the trend, the regularity of the reading in the dashboard, and the absence of technical anomalies. These are qualitative indicators, but they are the most suitable for a technological service managed with discipline.

Avoid thinking in terms of expected or promised gain. No return is guaranteed and capital is at risk: evaluations must remain qualitative.

What NOT to consider as a result

Do not consider a particularly positive or negative day isolated from the context as a result. Do not extrapolate trends from exceptional events. Do not confuse subjective experience with the real performance of the method.

Documenting with consistency

Keeping orderly notes, with dates and essential observations, is the foundation for a serious evaluation. Even a few minutes a week are enough to build, over a few months, a valuable archive.

Comparison with initial expectations

Every now and then, go back to the expectations with which you entered Arbicsx. Have they changed? Are they still consistent with the philosophy of the service? Periodic reflection is an integral part of the evaluation.

When to speak with support

If the reading of the results seems inconsistent with the expected operation, open a ticket. Support can help you distinguish between physiological fluctuations and technical situations that need further investigation.

Results read over time, with clear criteria and without haste, are the only mature way to understand what a method is truly doing for you.
