The connection with the broker is the technical step that allows the dashboard to read your account data and aggregate them into consistent metrics. It must be performed calmly: a few minutes of attention now prevent hours of problems later.
Prerequisites
Before starting, make sure you have:
- an active account on the supported broker;
- the technical credentials or the required connection parameters;
- the Arbicsx profile completely configured (guide How to correctly configure the profile);
- a stable connection and an updated browser.
Connection Steps
The connection flow is located in the dedicated section of your account. Carefully follow each screen:
- Select the broker from the supported list.
- Enter the requested parameters exactly as provided by the broker.
- Confirm the data and wait for the platform to perform the technical verification.
- Wait for the outcome: if positive, the connection is active; if negative, the error is shown to you with a suggestion on the cause.
Never share your broker credentials with anyone, including contacts presenting themselves as "advanced support". The Arbicsx support team will not ask for them.
Verification after connection
Once the connection is active, wait a few minutes and open the dashboard. The main metrics should start to populate with real data. Perform the initial checks:
- the open trades reflect what you see on the broker;
- the overage netto appears consistently;
- the health of the capital does not signal anomalies compared to the real one.
If the picture is consistent, the connection was successful. If you notice misalignments, consult Synchronization problems.
What to avoid
Some typical errors not to make:
- entering "almost correct" credentials counting on the system to accept them;
- repeating the connection in a hurry without reading the returned error;
- modifying configuration parameters without knowing what they do.
What to do after the first successful connection
The first connection is just the beginning. In the following hours, the dashboard progressively builds a complete view of the account. It is normal for some metrics to take some time to stabilize: the platform needs to read sufficient data to return meaningful readings. Do not attempt to force synchronization: wait calmly for the environment to settle.
Take advantage of this time to familiarize yourself with the dashboard sections concerning the connected broker. A successful technical connection is a solid foundation, but the real value emerges in daily use.
Checks within the first 24 hours
- Consistent open trades.
- Metrics that populate progressively.
- No recurring error notifications.
If the connection fails
If the connection is not successful, the platform almost always returns a message with the most likely cause. Before opening a ticket:
- carefully re-read the error message;
- verify on the broker that the account is active and the parameters match;
- wait a few minutes and try again, excluding temporary peaks;
- check for any communications in the updates.
If the problem persists, open a ticket from support describing the broker, the time of the attempt, and the exact error message. Never include the broker password in the ticket.
